朝、オイルレベルを見ようと思って、ボンネットを上げて覗き込んだところ、頭に強い衝撃がありました。すぐにボンネットが落ちてきたと気がつきました。
グリルが衝撃で外れて転がっています。きっちり最後まで上げないと落ちてくるようです。これは相当危険と言わざるを得ません。
- In a morning I got strong shock on my head when I lifted hood and was going to look at oil level gauge. I instantly noticed hood fell down to my head.
- The grill came off from the hood by the shock. The hood seems to fall down unless it should be lifted to the top end. I have to say it's pretty dangerous.
ボンネットダンパーのガスが抜けてるみたいです。危ないので交換することにしました。
色々とネットで調べると、社外品は力が強すぎる場合があるそうなので、できればOEM品を買おうと思います。
OEMはStabilusというメーカーです。社外品は左右で2千円台なのに、Stabilusはそこそこします。でも、やはりOEMにこだわることにしました。
- The hood struts lost gas. I decided to replace them.
- According to reviews on the net, the aftermarkets tend to be too strong. I want OEM if I can.
- The OEM maker is 'Stabilus'. But the Stabilus is a bit expensive.
届いたのがこれ。箱にも入ってないし、マジックで純正品番が書いてあります。大丈夫？と思いましたが、機能すればよいので気にしないことにしました。
- This is it. No box and the genuine parts number on it with a marker. Is it OK? I don't care as far as it works.
ここでスタビラスを買いました。
嫁さんがトランクがすごく重いといつも言ってるので、この際トランクダンパーも交換することにしました。Ｅ４６には自動開閉機能がありません。トランクダンパーのカブリオレ用はクーペやセダンと別品番になってます。Stabilus製のも見つかりませんでした。選択の余地は少なく、トランク用は仕方なく社外品を購入しました。値段はStabilusと変わりませんでした。トランク用は高いようです。
- I am going to replace the trunk lid strut as well, because my wife always says that the trunk lid is very heavy. E46 has no auto trunk opening. I was not able to find the Stabilus on the net in Japan. I reluctantly bought aftermarket parts. It's price is about as same as the Stabilus'. It seems to be expensive compared to hood struts.
社外品。何も書いてありません。真っ黒。
- Aftermarkets. No prints. Black.
交換方法は簡単です。マイナスドライバー一本です。ヒンジ部の金属製クリップをこじるだけです。ドライバーがボロいです。
- It is easy to replace them. Only one flat head screwdriver needed. You pry the metal clip at the joint to release it.
外れたところ。
- Got it off.
取り付けるときは、クリップはそのままでただ押し込むだけです。
- Just push it to the ball joint.
付きました
- Done.
トランクリッドも同様の作業をします。
しかし、社外品はきっちりとボールジョイントに入りません。クリップがはまらず浮いたままになります。
Stabilusとの品質差がすごく大きいと言わざるを得ません。
Stabilusは取り付けるときも、実に気持ちよくカチッと入ったのに、これは押し込まないとだめです。
走行に影響する部品ではないのであきらめることにしました。
フードダンパー、トランクリッドダンパーはOEMか純正が安心です。
- For the trunk lid the same procedure.
- But aftermarket parts can't sit exactly at the ball joint. I can't push the clip to where it should be.
- Quality is very different from the Stabilus.
- OEMs or genuines are good.
取り外した純正品
ボンネットは取り替えた結果、この状態でも落ちてこなくなりました。
- The hood stays even at this position.
トランクリッドは、嫁さん曰く、違いがわからない、とのこと。
- As for the trunk lid my wife said she couldn’t feel any difference.
追記
やはり社外品のクオリティは低かった。
社外品が装着後2か月でダメになった。 After market parts broke two months later after installation.
スタビラスはエクセレント。
