重い腰を上げて、以前から懸案のロアコンブッシュを交換することにしました。
ロアコンブッシュが劣化？ Lower control arm bushings deteriorating?
寒いです。でも、今日はまだましなのでやろうと思います。
- It's cold today but not too cold. I'm going to do the job.
準備作業
まず、ジャッキアップ。ジャッキスタンド4連にタイヤです。フロアジャッキも併用すれば落ちることはないでしょう。やりすぎですかね。
- Jack up at first. Four jack stands and tires. With a floor jack as well, I will be safe. A bit too much?
最初の難関は補強プレートを外すことですね。ボルトが結構きつく締まっているのですごく力がいります。寝っ転がった体勢では力が入りません。ボルトはM10 x 35 フランジボルト、16mm, grade 10.9。トルクは59 Nm +90度（再利用しました）
- The first difficult part is to take off the reinforcement plate. Bolts are tight. You can't apply enough torque while lying down upward. Bolts are M10 x 35 with flange and washer, 16mm 10.9, torque 59Nm + 90 degrees I reuse those
いよいよロアコンブッシュの交換
なんとか補強プレートを外したら、ロアコンブッシュのホルダーを固定してるボルト2本をはずします。これもM10 x 35, 16 mm, grade 10.9 59 Nm。
- Unfasten two bolts on the holder.
右側です。Right side
ホルダーをギアプーラーを使って抜きます。きつくてとても手で外れるとは思えませんでした。
金属の外側だけ外れて、ラバー部分が残ってしまいました。これもプーラーで抜きました。
- I use gear puller. I don't think it can be pulled off by hand. A rubber bush remained on the lower arm, when I pulled off the holder.
ホルダーの内側はさびてました。オイルも入ってませんでした。やはり劣化していたと思われます。
- The inner side of the holder got rust and no oil. I think it is deteriorated.

次は、ロアコントロールアームにL字クランプを使ってブッシュを挿入しました。
挿入角度は選べません。アームが６角形しているので60度か120度回転した位置でも入りそうですが、正6角形ではなく、耳がでてるので挿入角度は一つです。1G締め付けする必要はなさそうです。
- Next step is to push the bushing into the lower control arm using an L-shaped clamp.
- You can't choose the angle to insert the bushing. It seems 60 or 120 degrees rotated position is possible to push it in, but the arm is not the regular hexagon and has 'ears'. It's not gonna be necessary to preload.
注意事項としては、もともと付いていた位置に印をつけておくことと、洗剤を塗ることですかね。
最後にトルクレンチを使ってボルト止めします。ここで次に厄介なのはボルト穴をきっちり合わせることですね。すごく力が要ります。特にMeyleのHDはオイル封入ではなく中までラバーなので硬いのかもしれません。
- The next annoying thing is to adjust bolt holes. It requires power. Maybe Meyle HD is stiffer than the genuine one.
ハイ付きました。Job Done.
左側も同様に作業します。
左は、外しているときにブッシュからオイルが出てきました。まだ健全だったのでしょう。
- The left one is still in healthy condition because oil comes out of the bushing.
補強プレートとアンダーガードとタイヤを付けておしまい。
慣れない作業で、4時間ほどかかってしまいました。準備作業1時間、右２時間、左0.5時間、後始末0.5時間くらい。次からは早くできるとおもいますが、補強プレートはやはり外しにくいでしょうね。
- It took four hours to do the unaccustomed job. Next time I can do it more quickly.
で、肝心の音は？
直りませんでした。
確かに劣化してたので、操縦性は良くなったのですが、カタカタ音はまだします。次の原因を探ろうと思います。
- And then rattling noise disappeared?
- Nope.
- Controllability is getting good, but I still hear rattling sound.
